1. Saving electricity when using air conditioners:
In winter, many families use air conditioners for heating. You should maintain and add gas to be able to use the air conditioner most effectively. The maintenance of the air conditioner should pay attention to the surfaces of the outdoor unit, filter mesh, indoor unit, etc. to help heat exchange faster. In addition, cleaning the machine also helps in the safe use of the air conditioner.
When turning on the air conditioner, avoid opening and closing the door many times, which will cause heat loss. One way to use air conditioners to save electricity is to adjust the room temperature to not be too different from the temperature outside (about 5oC).
2. Saving electricity when using water heating:
When using a regular water heater, not many people pay attention to the temperature adjustment button, you can adjust this button to have the water at the right temperature. In addition, to save electricity, you should turn on the water heater 15 - 30 minutes before using it. Depending on the outdoor temperature as well as the number of users, it will be more economical than turning on the bottle 24/24 because there will be heat loss from the tank to the air while the burner is still working. This will cause power loss.
3. Saving electricity when using TV:
TV size is also related to power consumption. The larger the TV size, the more power consumption. It is recommended to use a screen of the right size, so it will save more electricity. You should use a TV with new technology such as LED technology, which will reduce your power by 40 - 60% compared to TVs using normal use.
When watching TV, you should not change channels continuously, because that will consume more power. Even setting the right brightness of the TV helps save electricity. The lower the brightness, the more savings. Saving is not difficult, like turning off the TV when not in use.
When not using the TV for a long time, you should unplug the power plug, both to ensure the safety of the TV in case of lightning, and not to lose power while waiting.
4. Save electricity when using the refrigerator:
The refrigerator is the most necessary appliance in the house, so it works constantly. Therefore, the refrigerator is the appliance that consumes the most energy. Make sure the door seal of the refrigerator is tight and not open to prevent cold air from escaping. In winter, you can set the refrigerator to the smallest setting to save energy.

5. Save electricity when using a lighting system:
The lighting system is the part that is most often used in winter, especially on cloudy days without sunlight. To be able to ensure the necessary light source in the room as well as save electricity, you should use an LED system instead of incandescent bulbs in space lighting, turn it off when not in use, only turn on the system in the daytime when really needed.
6. Insulation for the house:
To keep your home warm, take advantage of items such as curtains that will help block the wind from entering the house. Floor mats help you not only not to get cold feet when walking on the floor but also help keep the house warmer.
7. Close all doors:
Winter in the Northeast of Vietnam often has monsoons, accompanied by cold rain, so you should check and close all the windows around the house so that the wind does not concentrate through the small openings. At that time, your home will be kept warmer and save heat from other electrical appliances.
